Set of freebies – Part II

In a continuation of my previous post on Set of Freebies for your PC, here are some more free softwares / apps for your windows PC.

  • Notepad++ – For people who find the traditional notepad too bland, this is a excellent alternative. I use this for coding and with it’s syntax highlighting and syntax folding and multi-document view its a great tool and it’s lightweight on your system resources and its FREE
  • XNView – It’s a free multimedia viewer / converter and a browser….I use this to view different picture formats including photoshop PSD files and for simple cropping / conversion and watermarking and highlighting etc.
  • Freemake Video Converter – For people who use plethora of portable devices like smartphones / tablets or download video from youtube this is excellent app to convert videos to different formats with its nice and easy to understand interface.
  • GIMP – A excellent and free alternative to Photoshop, I use this a lot to touchup photos and design pages / interfaces for my websites…
  • Inkscape – For people who want to draw this is a very good alternative to Illustrator and Coreldraw and as all others listed here its free too…
